Yes, extensions use Google Analytics to track events,

• When the extension starts up (once per browser session).
• When the option screen is shown.
• When any option is configured.
• No unique identifying information is sent.

This information is used to provide the developer insight into the popularity of the various options. It also helps guide any future development.

Disable Data Collection

It is recommended to leave this option 'on', however it may be disabled in the Options dialog.
